Between 1 to 3 inches of rain (shades of green and yellow in the map below) has fallen over much of southern and central Illinois in the last 14 days through this morning. Meanwhile, areas generally to the north of Interstate 80 have less than an inch of rain (shades of blue).
Below is a wider view of the Midwest for the same period. Most of the Midwest has receiving 1 to 3 inches of rain (shades of green and yellow in the map below) with a few dry spots in southern Wisconsin, northern Illinois, western Indiana, and eastern Ohio.
Southern Iowa and northern Missouri have been hammered with heavier rains with widespread areas of 4 to 8 inches (shades of orange and red). Other areas with more than 3 inches of rain include the southern third of Missouri, parts of the Plains states, and central Minnesota.
